The Corner Chair

Our May meet was at the Annual Fallbrook Car show on the 30th and it was a beautiful sunny day for a show. Bob and I met up with Bob Davis and his guest Dennis Wichmann at the Del Taco in Wildomar at 10:00 and drove on down to Fallbrook. One of the roads we took was aptly named Live Oak Rd. It was a charming country road, winding into town, shaded by a multitude of ancient oak trees lining both sides of the road.

We met up with Doug Nickerson, who had entered his vehicle into the show, and was waiting for the judges to come around. Larry Labrack and his guest, Kirk Debolt had also arrived earlier. We were happy to also see Richard and Jenny Butler and their 2 girls at the show. It is a good size car show, with a small swap meet, food booths, and even an Elvis impersonator for entertainment.

We met at noon and had a short meeting. New business discussed was the motion to provide name badges for the members this year. It as unanimously passed. Order forms will be sent out with the renewals this month.

We adjorned the meeting and retreated to find some shade. We ate lunch, had some idle chit chat while being seranaded by Elvis.

There is no meeting scheduled for June as alot of our brotheren are migrating north to Portland for activities at the National meet. Safe journey to all who are going and we expect a full report upon your return.
