TONY CIPPONERI April 29, 2010
by Margie Amos,
Husband, Father, Friend and valued member of the Plymouth Owners Club. These were lost to us as it is with a heavy heart and immeasurable sadness that we report Tony Cipponeri, Golden State Region Founding Member, passed away in the early morning of April 29, 2010. It was the combined efforts of Tony Cipponeri and Tod Fitch that were the driving forces that made the Golden State Region a reality, back in 2002. Tony with his never say “No, we can’t attitude” had recruited 21 Founding Members and with their help continued the effort until the National finally granted the Golden State Region a charter. Tony was well liked by everyone he came in contact with and loved to talk “PLYMOUTH”. He was the proud owner of a 1933 Plymouth Coupe and followed that up with a 1950 Plymouth Business Coupe. He rarely missed a meeting or events, usually bringing his wife Karen with him. We all looked forward to our outings knowing that Tony would only add to the enjoyment to those that attended. To continue without him will be difficult but knowing Tony, he would want us to not falter as we move into the future and not to be sad but remember all the great times from the past. It is these memories of those that had the pleasure to have called him friend that will keep him with us. Edited on 2010-04-30 by Tod Fitch |
