October SoCal MeetingNovember 1, 2007by Tony Cipponeri, Hi All, Sorry it took me so long to put this up on the web, but I have been real busy. We had a very nice day for our tour and meeting, most of us met at The Farmer Boys restraunt. We picked up the rest of our group along the way, meeting a couple more people at The Mission Of San Luis Reys. Wandering thru the mission and being awe struck at the old world craftsmenship, that had put it all together. After our tour of the mission, we went to Oceanside to have lunch at Ruby's out on the end of the pier. Ruby's has some really good food, and I enjoyed myself a whole bunch. When everyone was stuffed, we went out on the pier to hold our meeting. First thing, Margie Amos gave us our tresurers report, we have $4762.22 in the bank. Next thing we talked about was giving a free one year membership to everyone, cause of not having too many newsletters this past year. We decided to let our members north of us to decide, our group voted to wait and see how things go, before deciding and postponing it untill we hear from the rest of our members. We then talked about coming events, Bob Davis will host a tour to the Tractor Museum in Vista, in November, our Christmas party will be at Nick And Char DeSimone's again. January will be hosted by Tom Reed, Febuary will be hosted by Larry LaBrack {San Diego swap meet} Del and Merita Dysart will host a desert tour in March, Tony and Karen Cipponeri are going to set up a joint tour with the Grand Canyon Region to Lake Havasu, in April. With that we closed our meeting, and left for home. Members in attendance were Roger and Donna Chrislip, Tom Reed, Don Patton, Bob Davis, Margie and Bob Amos, Darrell Harris, Larry LaBrack, Tony and Karen Cipponeri, and our long lost members from Banning Richard and Jenny Butler Richard has stepped up to the plate and offered to do the news letter, I want to thank him for willing to help us out with this. | |||||||||||
